Catch Up

On June 4, 2010 I married my Guardian.  My Guardian being Stephen George who graduated from The United States Coast Guard on April 9, 2010.  W married in a small ceremony at the Jonesborough Courthouse, and our ceremony will be in May 2011 after I graduate from ETSU.

Its not easy being a military wife.  Everyday is hard.  Stephen and I are currently separated because I am finishing up my last year of college and Stephen is stationed out of Portsmouth, VA, which is seven hours away.  Another crew has taken over his Cutter the USCGC Forward so he is stationed in Chattanooga on a  River Boat Tender.  He will only be three hours away until November 14.

Even with him being three hours away, we still don't get to see each other as much as we like.  I will probably get to see him for about three days during ETSU's fall break.

On July 23rd Stephen started his first 58 day deployment.  He returned on September 18th.  The only form of communication we had was email.  It's harder than you think.  All that you want is to be able to pick up the phone and be able to hear each others voice.
